Restricted functionality

Hello, Having bought this replacement Remote Control I narrowed, from the numerous potential codes provided to control a Samsung device, 2 that do connect to my TV. However neither code allows me to access the TV's menu, as was the case with an original YouView remote, forcing me to resort to the original remote control to access the TV's menu (I only had to press DEL on the YouView remote to access the menu on the original remote). I can't see any reference to this flaw in the sale blurb that accompanies the listing of this product on the website.
