Great deal, like the free holder
Bought these to use in a 10440 torch. $ batteries came in a neat plastic case making it easier to carry the spares (I've since bought more empty cases they are so handy) the batteries seem to last well although I've only recharged them a few times so far.
Please note a 10440 battery is the same size as a AAA battery.. BUT they are not the same voltage, a AAA is 1.5v a 10440 is 3.7 v, only use them in items approved for 10440, you'll burn out something designed for AAA.

Great for off camera flash
This set is designed for using your flash/strobe off camera. The transmitter part goes on the hot shoe of the camera and your flash goes on the receiver part.
They have multiply channels so if your mates have the same set you can use different channels not to affect each others gear. Or any number of you with the transmitters could use the same flash set up if you want.
It's really simple to use.
Note this system is not ETTL your flash needs to be used in manual mode, nor can you alter the flash power from the transmitter like the much more expensive systems.
This is a budget system, and it works great. I'd say the range is around 20-25 meters, plenty far enough for a home studio set up or a model out doors. It's small and light. Mine lives in my camera bag with a small (12 inch) softbox gadget I got for a few pound also on ebay. Bung the flash on the tripod, pop the softbox on and I have quick easy nice off camera lighting.
For the money it's a great deal.

Handy macro light
1 of 1 found this helpful First off this isn't really a flash as such, it's an led light. It does have a flash setting but it's just a brief flash of the same led you get on the constant setting. It's dead easy to use.
It comes with addaptor rings for 49mm to 72mm (in the standard common sizes) it's simple to use,and not heavy.
It uses 4 double A batteries and I suspect they'll last for ages.
In use it does what it says, it does offer really good close up lighting, dont expect to be lighting things at a distance, this is for macro, it's not a floodlight, that said it would help if your doing video.
Pros.
It's cheap, it does work, and it's really handy for macro.
Cons,
the battery door is flimsy so go easy with it, and it's a bit akward to carry around when not in use, it uses up two "pockets" in my camera bag. Finally remember this isn't a flash, this wont freeze movement like a proper ring flash, but then it's a heck of a lot cheaper too.
