Best Leopard ever!
0 of 1 found this helpful I bought this Leopard 2 A6 wanting to convert it to a Canadian version, but I liked how everything went together and rather than chop it up with upgrades, I simply painted it as the original German version.

This model is very cheaply made - Beware
I purchased this model since the picture shows it as a Trumpeter model - it is not. It is a lesser quality product mass produced and of poor quality and finish.
Not only do the sprues connect to parts on very critical surfaces mean HEAVY cleanup before use but the parts have excessive flash making it necessary to practically trim and sand each and every part.
The flimsiness of the hill parts is sad and moulded detail is minimal.
Fit of the parts is extremely frustrating with most pieces being oversize or undersize for insertion on the main body.
Finally the clasp that secures the top to the bottom of the bottom hill is USELESS. I ended up cutting this retainer off and permanently gluing topto bottom although, again, not without considerable trimming, filing and cooersing the parts together.
Don't waste good money on this cheap imitation of a quality model. Spend the extra few dollars and avoid the frustration.

Excellent Canadian Modern Armour
1 of 1 found this helpful The model is a great rendition of our LAV-III.
It went together well with minimum flash and decent fit. The tires are rubber and shiny though so painting/weathering them is difficult since the paint keeps peeling. To avoid this, spray a matte finish sealer on the tires first and then you can create to your heart's content.
