Cornball Gone Bad
14 of 14 found this helpful While this isn't the worst movie I've ever watched, and Charles Busch isn't the worst drag queen I've ever seen (for his age, which is getting too old to pass well enough to be entertaining), it is pretty bad. The story line is corny. The acting is the worst I've watched in a very long time. The only reason I didn't rate it as poor is because of the graphics during the LSD trip!

A Most Classic Movie from Lawrence's Classic Novel
18 of 18 found this helpful Among the top 100 of my best loved films based upon classic novels, I can't imagine Lady Chattrerley's Lover being considered anything but a film classic. Lawrence's novel, upon which the film is based, want well out of its contemporary mores and social ethics to portray and detail how British artistocracy behaved as an insider's only group of power hording sophisticated bullies who could make of anyone with a smattering of working class history of family background an instant outcast.
This subject is as relevent now as it was back when D. H. Lawrence was so strongly led to write the story that is so obviously based upon a collective cultural reality. That he even defended his novel in court, and how he did so, makes this film even more delicious.

Can't Even Give This Book Away
23 of 23 found this helpful If I were an eBay seller I wouldn't take the time to create a webpage to advertise this book because it won't sell. The public has known for nearly 25 years that the contents are figments of the author's vivid imagination. We also know that this book has been used for the sole purpose of an adult child trying to profit off her mother's outstanding reputation.
If I give get the opportunity to meet the author I'll politely ask her if she ever got a life of her own, or does she still hope to ride on her dead mother's bones?
