Ideal on warm cakes but doesn’t cut colder cakes
Used to cut 3 x Madeira cakes. 2 were cooled and it was difficult to cut, the 3rd was warm and the cutter sliced through with ease. Maximum height of the adjustable wire is around 1.5” which for me wasn’t high enough so had to self adjust and then use cellotape to keep the wire positioned. It did the job but could have had additional notches to increase the height of the wires.

Germinated within 3 days
Received these seeds in a small packet with care instructions and how to sow etc. Followed them by placing on damp cloth, putting in a sealed bag inside the boiler cupboard. To be honest I forgot about them until 3 days later and thought I had better dampen the cloth. They had germinated and we're each about 3cm tall. I've put a few directly in the garden and will transfer some to smaller pots and see how we get on. I was amazed they germinated so quick. Now for me to keep them alive.

Amazing piece of plastic
So I bought these whilst they were Peru cheap, just wanting a soft tipped spoon that isn't going to damage my babies mouth every time he had something to eat, the fact that they turned white when hot was a bonus.
I really love the fact that they turn white, it makes it so much easier to try keep the baby entertained knowing that when the food is ok to eat, the tip will return to its original colour.
The only downside to the spoon is the fact that I think the spoon is too sensitive to heat and that food is allowed to get too cold before the spoon returns to its original colour. You might add well not heat the food.
