DUFF UNIT
I have used similar devices such as this sting zapper over the years and I have found them effective. The zapper which I purchased on this occasion had its external electrodes from the piezo crystal covered by domes of plastic which rendered the device totally ineffective. The spark could be seen appearing inside the unit instead of where it should – on the outside.
I cut and filed the plastic away to find the electrode wires were not long enough to go through the plastic and make the spark on the outside of the unit as it should.
Breaking open the unit caused the plastic fixing posts to break but I managed to get the wires to the outside of the plastic body, holding them in place on the inside with hot glue. The 2 unit halves were then superglued together and I finally had a zapper that worked! The manufacturer needs to be told about the lack of quality control for this item.

This is an excellent product, why go to a main dealer or anywhere else for that matter and pay over the odds? The quality exceeds everything else I've seen.
