Top quality & great value
Not really much to say about a unmanaged switch, generally they just plug in and work!
This one from D-Link is no exception, D-Link is a top tier brand and there items are exceptionally well made, this particular model has a metal body, so is more robust & will dissipate heat better.
I can honestly say if you have a PC & a internet hub / router with Gigabit connections this is the ideal switch, it really does give your a speed boost. If you can get it for under £15 you've got a bargain as most other models in this price range will be plastic bodies,
The only slight issue I had was the item I received was the EU version with a 2 pin plug, not a problem for me as I had a spare adaptor, but if you buy one ask the seller before buying which version it is as you may need to buy either an adaptor or a new PSU, which will push the overall cost up.

A polished product, which just works...
Firstly I'm no Apple fan boy, however I have to admit that it a far more polished product and ALL the Apple Apps work, unlike Android where your never quite sure how / which apps will work on your device. yes the price of a New Touch is a bit much, which is why I only gave 4 stars for value, but I got a 2nd hand bargain under £100 inc P&P. I bought this mainly to use as a GPS (via the Strava app) while out cycling as the GPS on my Android Phone was flaky and very draining on the battery and mobile data services. However the multi media apps seem to work better as do e-magazines & newspapers etc & the screen is absolutely stunningly clear and bright. The only slight moans are you HAVE to use iTunes to sync data etc & the memory is locked, quite why Apple don't add a Micro SD slot I really don't get (other than forcing you to buy a more expensive model if you need extra storage).

Light weight & good design, but let down by the fixings
1 of 1 found this helpful These are a good light weight design especially if you have larger tyres on your MTB/ATB (2.0 and above), or a wet commute as the wide 'half guard' design is good, but this is let down by the plastic feeling a bit cheap and the fixings are very poor and cheap particularly the rear ones, I get the feeling any rough terrain or prolonged use will either break them or they are going to come lose & foul the wheel, I won't be using my rear one at all & I plan to at least change all the bolts for good A2 S/S ones plus possibly make a new S/S front bracket as well. Over all if you want quick fit reasonably cheap (much of the price is the cost of postage) guard for winter than give them a go just don't expect much.
