A simple smart remote that works with everything
1 of 2 found this helpful I have three Logitech Hubs. One for each of my TVs. The remote uses RF to communicate with the Hub. The Hub then sends the requisite command in IR, RF, or Bluetooth to the receiving device. It uses Bluetooth to communicate with my set top boxes, IR to communicate with my TVs and receivers, and can even send commands to my IR enabled space heater. From the smartphone app, you can add your Nest thermostat and Philips smart lights and control them from a single place.
The only downside is there's a slight learning curve in getting everything setup properly. The quickest way I've found to setup the Hub is to plug it into your computer via USB and download the setup software from Logitech. Write down the manufacturer and model number of each device you'll be controlling and add it via the software on your computer. In total, it took me about 30 minutes to program and setup each Hub. Anyone that's played with learning remotes should appreciate how quick a 30 minute setup is for a remote setup of this caliber.
