Nice Quality
These are a light boot with a soft sole. There is a grip plate attached to the bottom. For day hiking, walking, and just knocking around they are a pleasant shoe. I get many compliments/queries about them so nice looming as well. These are not backpacking boots. Nice hike in the woods or around town boot.

What time is it?
First this watch does not has a "compass". I has N,S,E,W on the bezel so you can use the old trick of aiming the hour hand at the sun and moving S between the hour hand and noon. This leaves us to the big problem with this watch: the third hand. The third hand points at a ring of small numbers denoting military 24 hour time. The theory is you can wait till the sun is at its highest point and look at the mlitary time set to GMT. Or you could use the third hand to hand a two time zone watch. The problem, and its a deal breaker is, many time during the day the hand overlap each other creating a visual muddle. The third hand is the same size as the hour hand. How many times I've been asked the time and I've been stumped to immediately say without sorting out the hands. Its a deal breaker for me. As for the military time, its so small its difficult to determine which number your on. Not a deal breaker but a design flaw.
So you end up with a watch --hard to read, cluggy manual location finder, but hey nice looking on your wrist.
