Great watch. Less keen on the all plasti...
Great watch. Less keen on the all plastic casing and glass but the watch itself is really lovely. Definitely a set and forget watch if you’re within range of a transmitter.
Although I thought the case had a polished steel covering I think it’s actually plastic. It does look like steel though but probably won’t wear well. I purchased a glass protector anyway for the (plastic) crystal.
The strap is OK but as it’s 20mm lug width you can easily swap it out.

Design flaw
OK, the good is that the wired shade is of a good gauge. It's heavy and feels substantial. The paint work is a little fake for my liking but that's just personal preference.
The downside is that the size is barely tall enough for a normal squirrel cage lamp. I had to buy one slightly shorter which only just fit.
I had to use a white adapter to fit the cage to my lamp (to reduce the diameter of the hole). I'll have to paint this as the white of the adapter distracts from the design. Worth bearing in mind.
The design flaw is that you have to undo one of the nuts and bend one of the cages wires out enough to fit the lamp. I think that this would last a couple of times before the joint would snap at the top of the cage. I can not believe that this was considered a good design. If you have LED lamps then you may not have to change the lamp and risk a breakage trying to bend the cages wire and squeezing the lamp through the tight gap. An incandescent lamp would need changing more often and I can't see this design holding up to many changes.
It's a shame that this was not considered.
