Recommended. I'm glad I took the chance to just replace the motor on gate opener.
0 of 1 found this helpful It was exactly what I needed to fix my Mighty Mule 500 gate opener. The Mighty Mule website for troubleshooting the gate opener does NOT specifically say how you can be certain that it is the motor that is creating the problem so I did have to take a chance this would fix the problem. The cost was one quarter of that to replace the complete gate opener arm.
It takes an hour or two to take apart the arm, re-solder the electrical leads and diode to the new motor and re-assemble but next time I know I'd be faster. Hopefully not too soon.
I'm also pleased that I'll only be taking a small 2" by 3" motor for metal recycling versus a whole arm that would have had to go into the landfill.

Excellent product
Bought a similar product but it wasn't sharp enough NOT to pull. This gets the tangles out without undue stress to an old cat.
