Best Value for money machine
I bought this firstly for the price, secondly based on other reviews and thirdly for the 2 year guarantee....and I'm not disappointed at all. This is a great little coffee machine, which after having for a month or so now and getting used to it makes great coffee. If making just an expresso, its perfect, just ensure you have the right coffee as per your own tastes as this could be the only reason it won't be too your liking. I bought it to make a latte, and although its taken me a few goes now to get a handle on the amount to dispense and the amount of milk to use, and then how best to froth the milk....I can now say I am very pleased with the latte it produces. I first tried Costa coffee but wouldn't like to say this was like you get in store. I've now settled on a Lavazza (black packet) blend which is just right for my tastes (very smooth, no bitterness) . I make it to fill a Star bucks cup if just for me or use the same milk quantity for this cup to split into two glass lattes plus double the coffee. I've got this off to pat now and now complaints so far.
I now fill the water tank with hot water pre making the coffee, I always pre heat the coffee shot glass, and the drinking cup you eventually pour into. This all seems to help getting the right final temperature for drinking.
I use a stainless steel jug for the milk, use semi or full fat milk and removed the rubber end to the frother nozzle as this helps with the consistency of the milk at the end
If its just for yourself or 2 people its ideal. I fully recommend this machine.
If wanting to make more then possibly a bigger water tank may be needed.
If wanting to make it quicker then possibly a twin boiler model so you can do the coffee and milk at the same time.
Both of the above will probably cost you considerably more.
