Brave New World
1 of 1 found this helpful Any fan will already have their opinion on this album. When released it was a polarising work. Many fans felt it was a move too far from Bowie’s glam period. A risk to take a more soulful & funky direction I would agree, but surely stylistically & vocally this album is right up there.Classic artwork cover leads us into a set of superbly written songs with some amazing arrangements. A wonderful set of musicians help create a genuine soul sound. Bowie was rewarded with a No 1 US hit with Fame and appeared on the top black music TV show Soultrain , some achievement for a white artist. So take a chance and get down to Bowie’s groove....... Love Ya!

ALIVE & KICKING.
Starting with the artwork, a quality gatefold sleeve with a superb inner picture, should have been the cover...it would have sold the album more. The quality of the sound is decent throughout the four sides , with a mix of live & studio cuts. Not in any chronological order , but this doesn’t matter. Produced on a nice clear vinyl this is excellent quality release for any collector of Bowie...... get this.

The Shape of things to come.
An album that often goes under the radar, but actually within the songs on this album are a couple of classics which point to where Bowie was headed.”She Shook Me Cold” with its shock lyrics and heavy guitar was a sign and the classic riff of the title track was leading us to Ziggy.Every fan will have this album and love it as I do,and being on white vinyl l love it just a little more!
