I’m Zig,
I’m not running a business, rather I use eBay as an e-garage sale, selling things I no longer need or want.
I think it sucks that we have to pay sales tax on used items that has already been taxed.
I also think it sucks they are trying to collect income tax for selling items at less than what I paid for it to begin with!
the tax ebay charges is an internet use tax ???? just another form of sales tax.
I do not collect sales tax period, even the stuff I sell that is new, I bought and paid the tax , I sell it on eBay because I kept it too long to return it
I don't knowingly list anything that is defective, unless I think it may have some value to someone then I describe the defect.
being human there may be a time something slips through, if so i will make good on it.
on the other hand if someone switches out a defective item and says it's mine that is defective, i will report that buyer. this has happened!
