Why Is This Game So Overrated?
0 of 15 found this helpful When this game first came out it didn't appeal to me, but I didn't hate it. I had heard a lot about the game from Super Smash Bros. 3DS, which made me take an interest in it. Although my mom bought it for me, and I appreciated it, it's an awful game. It's the worst game I've ever played! The controls are way too simplistic. You use the circle pad to move, the stylus pen to aim, and the L button to shoot. Not much of a game is it? You'd think that with controls like that it would be easy, but no, it's very hard! Also, the characters never stop talking, which makes it hard to focus on playing the game. The story isn't really a story at all. It's a chopped up mess. The only good thing I can say about it is that the graphics are very good, even though they're very grainy. Please don't waste your money or time on this horrible game.

The Mother of Earthbound
Ever since I had heard about this series from Super Smash, I had wanted to give it try. So recently I got a Mother 1+2 off this site, and I have absolutely enjoyed this game so much. Mother (known in America as Earthbound Beggings ) is the predecessor to Earthbound, and for a Famicom game it's great ! The story is cute and touching as well as funny. The battle system, though somewhat dated, still holds well today, and the graphics add to the charm ! However, the game does require a bit of level grinding unless you get the english gba version. Great game, definitely recommend !

A Great Snes Classic
0 of 2 found this helpful Released in America in 1995, Earthbound was different from other rpgs back then. Whereas most rpgs were about generic medieval settings, Earthbound was set in modern times and had phones, buses, and an urban setting. Thats only the start of the difference, you will fight a giant pile of vomit, some bag ladies, and even hippies. The gameplay is fun and bizarre and the music is strange and atmospheric, the graphics are very cutesy and charming, and the story is light hearted and humorous. Sadly, the game does have some flaws, such as poor difficulty balance in some areas and the pacing is pretty bad sometimes too. Despite it's flaws, the game is still very good and great for any Nintendo fan, unlike Kid Icarus: Uprising.
