JRPG + Pokemon + MMO style Combat
2 of 2 found this helpful Xenoblade 2 is a JRPG with Pokemon and MMO tendencies. You collect and min-max your "Blades", while using an MMO styled combat system of auto attacks + cooldown skills. The story is pretty dang good. Only downside so far is that some boss fights are cheese-based, meaning that it uses a random mechanic so excessively that it becomes a puzzle. This becomes a problem when 75% of boss fights are not a puzzle, and so during the cheese fight you die instantly at the exact same moment until you realize you have to equip your entire party with copies of the same item in order to stack resistances. BUT, there are online guides to help you through that nonsense, and the rest of the game is amazing!
