Bootleg of a bootleg?
In 1979, I snuck a portable Radio Shack cassette recorder into a stadium festival concert. It had a built-in condenser mic with ALC (automatic level control), and it sounded like cheap radio at the bottom of an empty barrel run through a guitar fuzz pedal.
That's what this disc sounds like.
I have recorded live simulcast concerts on an old Pioneer cassette deck that sound light years better than this recording.
The only thing that saves this CD is the great source material the Smithereens provided. So, until a clean copy of this becomes available, it is what it is...
