Reasonable quality but fiddly
5 of 9 found this helpful The units are fairly new so I cannot yet comment on their effectiveness, but the units themselves seem to be fairly robust and I particularly like the fact that the ground spike is made of metal rather than plastic. The last model I purchased had a plastic spike that broke fairly quickly.
One annoyance is the battery cover that requires the removal and replacement of four tiny screws and careful re-positioning of a rubber gasket every time the batteries need replacing.
There is no option of running these units from a mains adaptor, which is rather frustrating as that would negate the need to replace batteries and keep the unit running on maximum power.

Overall a very good product, I am very pleased with its effectiveness
1 of 1 found this helpful This swatter is actually slightly smaller than you might think from the pictures, which I was pleased about as it makes it easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces. It has a solid feel to it and certainly packs a punch, despatching smaller insects with ease and instantly stunning larger flies and wasps.
It is quite disconcerting at first because it gives a loud 'Crack' when an insect hits the bars and gets a shock.
Because the contact bars are not protected by layers of mesh on both sides as some other zappers are, it makes it much more effective in making contact with the little blighters (insects, not kids. You aren't allowed to use it on kids!) and the insects do not get stuck behing any mesh so it is very easy to keep clean.
