Solid and Capable, with it's main shortcomings in it's price tag.
The switch is fantastic console and certainly worth picking up as your main system or at least a secondary and using in portable. It has an excellent library of games and is wonderful as a hybrid console. My only gripes are with the price and controllers. Price is a little steep considering other available consoles and handhelds available on the market, and the joy con are okay for simple games, but you pretty much need a pro controller for any serious play. The Pro controller is a decent controller, to be sure, but both the PS4 and Xbox One deliver superior feeling controllers. Fear not though, the switch is compatible with these controllers through use of an adapter. So, if you already have another console, it's worth picking one up and using a controller you already have. If not, the Pro controller is just fine, but a little expensive at $60-80.
