Must-read book for ALL homosexual men!
Written by a gay man and therapist, this book hits every nail on the head of all the things that impact a gay man's life from the moment he realizes he is "different." Much of the material concerns shame and its insidious impact on nearly every aspect of gay life. Simply stated, the best book this reader has come across on this topic. If you are a gay guy who is experiencing any difficulties in your life, this book is sure to give you fresh insight.

A great slow cooker.
Bought this to replace an identical unit that was lost in a move. This cooker heats food from the bottom, like a regular stovetop pot and IMHO, does a better job of thoroughly cooking whatever's in it versus the Rival style that heats from the sides. But care must be taken when using the HIGH setting as this pot gets significantly hotter than that other design. Even when using LOW it doesn't hurt to give the pot an occasional stir during cooking.

Imaginative '60s time travel movie
A great sleeper sci-fi flick, and directed by largely unsung B-movie author & producer: Ib Melchior. Among others, his credits include "Journey To The Seventh Planet," The Angry Red Planet," and "Robinson Crusoe On Mars." The last one on that list, along with this film are his best works. In this story, some scientists create a machine that lets them view scenes from the past or the future. An electrical accident endows the machine to not only see through time, but to step through the large viewscreen, now a portal, into the era being shown.
The scientists and a comedic technician find themselves in the year 2071 in the middle of a nuclear-devastated Earth and find shelter with the descendants of a group of scientists who must wage a constant battle with radiation-scarred mutants to survive. Seeing that the Earth is no longer capable of supporting life, they are in a race to launch a starship to carry them to an Earthlike planet in another star system before the mutants overrun their precarious underground fortress.
The ending and the special effects are very well done for a movie of this sort and vintage. Check out the floating-in-air time portal that the cast steps through. It is widely believed that this movie was the inspiration for Irwin Allen's "The Time Tunnel" series, which came out a couple years later.
Definitely a must have movie for any sci-fi buff, and the price is right, too. The only fault with the product is the nature of DVD-R discs, which do not play in every DVD player. It may take some trial and error with a few machines to find one this disc will play on but the entertainment value of this film will be worth it. Try it; you'll like it.
