Turns out I did not need these but they will do what they are designed for.

Effective and Reasonable for the Price
1 of 1 found this helpful While I like the product for the most part the "instructions" left much to be desired. They consisted of several very small illustrations (hard to see what to do). Larger illustrations WITH some text should be included. It was not obvious that the clear tube needed to be connected at each end to 2 plug openings at the bottom of the spa BEFORE filling the tub. I had water pouring out of those fittings until I realized the clear tube connected the two. I found several YouTube videos that were much more useful (and one emphasized the problem I had). I put a one-inch foam insulation pad under the tub that will greatly reduce heat loss from the bottom and also used rigid one-inch foam to built a box around the power "pod" to keep it warm and allow for use in colder temps. One other frustration: the inflatable liner for the cover had a leak that took some time to find--I was able to seal it with some liquid vinyl repair. It's not quite as satisfying as a full-sized hot tub but effective for the price and what it provides.
