I was totally captivated into the culture of this setting.

A true story as seen thru' her grandma's perspective. Absolutely brilliant. loved it. I recognised many family names and could imagine my husband's grandma growing up as a contempory of her grandma.

great read - amusing and charming

The No1 Ladies Detective Agency series is totally addictive. It is gently charming and amusing with very good believable characters that have a fully rounded set of idiosyncrisies. The language and vocabulary are wide, and some expressions are leitmotif to each person.
