Feedback profiles

Feedback profiles allow you to see how eBay members have been rated by the other eBay users that they've traded with.

Along with a member's overall Feedback score, the Feedback profile page shows recent Feedback the member's received, detailed seller ratings, any bid retractions, as well as the percentage of positive ratings they've received.

Viewing a Feedback profile

You can view a member's Feedback profile – including your own – by selecting the number in brackets next to their username. This number is their current Feedback score.

A Feedback score of at least 10 earns you a yellow star. As your Feedback score increases, the star changes colour, all the way to a silver shooting star for a score above 1,000,000.

Making your Feedback profile public or private

We strongly encourage everyone to keep their Feedback profile public. It helps you earn the trust of other eBay members, and so makes it more likely they'll want to trade with you.

In order to sell on eBay, your Feedback profile must be public.

If you choose to make your Feedback profile private, you won't be able to sell items on eBay and the Feedback comments you've received will be hidden from other members. However, your overall number of positive, neutral, and negative Feedback ratings will still be displayed.

Here's how to make your Feedback profile public or private:

  1. Go to Make Your Feedback Profile Public or Private - opens in new window or tab.
  2. Select either Make your Feedback Profile public or Make your Feedback Profile private, and select Save.

To sell on eBay, your feedback profile must be public.
