Updating your bank account details for managed payments

As a managed payments seller, the bank account linked to your eBay account needs to be up to date so you can receive payouts. If it’s not, or if you want to receive payouts to a different account, you'll need to update your bank account details from the Payments tab in Seller Hub, or from Payments in My eBay.

Payouts

We initiate payouts for your recent transactions either daily or weekly depending on the payout schedule you chose, and you'll receive the funds in your linked bank account.

From the Payments tab - opens in new window or tab in Seller Hub, or Payments - opens in new window or tab in My eBay, you can see which bank account is currently set up to receive your funds. If your bank account details are out of date, or if you want to receive your payouts to a different account, you need to update your details.

You can update your checking account for payouts in Seller Hub. Here's how:

  1. Go to Payments - opens in new window or tab in Seller Hub.
  2. Select Edit next to Payout method.
  3. Make your changes and select Update bank account.

You can also update your checking account for payouts in My eBay. Here's how:

  1. Go to Payments - opens in new window or tab in your My eBay.
  2. Select Edit under your bank account labelled Used for payouts.
  3. Make your changes and select Update bank account.

It usually takes 2 business days for changes to be confirmed and payouts to be enabled for your new bank account.

Tip
Your linked bank account must be a current or business account. It can't be a savings account.

Providing a bank statement

If you've provided us with bank account details, and we're unable to verify your account, you may need to send us a recent bank statement for the account you're trying to register. We need this documentation in order to verify your identity and business. If we need this additional information from you, we'll send you an email, as well as placing a notification in Seller Hub or My eBay, including instructions on how to send a copy of the statement to us.

You should make sure the bank statement you send to us:

  • Is for the account you're trying to register
  • Is for an account that belongs to you and shows your first name and surname
  • Is less than 12 months old
  • Shows at least the last 4 digits of your bank account number
    • If it's a credit union account, include the last 4 digits of the account number and not the member number
  • Shows the official letterhead of your bank

If you're not able to provide us with a bank statement, you can provide us with one of the below documents:

  • Letter signed by a bank manager, including at least the last 4 digits of your bank account number
  • Printed form for a direct deposit

Tip
The image of your bank statement can be in JPEG, JPG, PDF, or PNG format. The maximum file size is 10 MB.

Once you’ve updated your details, we’ll verify your bank account, which can take up to 2 business days. Once your account is verified, we’ll send you a confirmation email, and you’ll start receiving your payouts in your new bank account.
