Nokia 3410 to buy or not to buy

I bought this phone as it has all the quality's that I needed from a phone a simple text and talk. the phone itself is great for texting but due to its age not so great at phone calls you can go from a full battery to the phone going and turning itself off in minuets, in standby though it will stay on for around 3 days with receiving text messages.

THE BEST OLD SCHOOL MOBILE EVER

The Nokia 3410 was a massive hit in the U.K and was the best selling. Whilst other manufacureres were trying out their new colour screens and polyphonic ringtones Nokia kept it simple with the 3410. As all Nokia phones the menu systen idiot proof a very easy and simple to use. Its a rugged tough and reliable number as when I had my first 3410 I dropped it it the toilet in a pint of beer and down 9 flights of stairs thanks to my radiators the phone worked perfectly. However compared to mobiles of today with the multi megapixel camras and the bluetooth and all thye other rubbish that people never really use I think the 3410 is still up their and still holds firm ground for what the 3410 really is which is a simple phone for simple people with the most games that Nokia have ever put on a phone to keep you entertained if you really want the best out of your 3410 plus the battery life is excellent the monochrome screen is easy to read to. The 3410. FAB phone. A trusty friend who'ill never let you down !!

Well , what can i say. The Nokia 3410 , an easy to use, robust, no messing about phone. Does exactly what a phone should do (calls and texts)and believe it or not, a load of other things 2 !!!
I've owned a 3410 for nearly 10 years now and it's never ever let me down. Dropped it many times , soaked it and very often mistreated it . A must have phone for the person who really wants "A REAL PHONE" !!!!!!!!!

By the way , the only reason i bought this one is because mine looks scruffy ! What would you expect after ten years HARD labour !! Kindest regards , James.Read full review...

Just what I needed

Just what I (a 94 yr. old) need in a mobile phone. I don't need games and all manner of extras; simply to be able to contact people with least hassle.
It is easy to call up "saved" numbers, and having found the User Manual on line enhances it's usefulness.
Had been using a much later Nokia which meant that a found it a bit puzzling at times; this is very much the mobile for me.
Nice size and its condition on receipt was very good, nothing to suggest that it was "preowned".

Does the job

I retired from work many years ago , i had to hand in my works Nokia 3410. I purchased a new phone in 2008 , and updated this to a smart phone later . Good old mobile phone

Good old mobile phone. The battery is not what I expected, but that one can be changed. Its robust, so compact would not be the best word to describe it.
The worst part of it, is that I thought they were nigh indestructible, but my daughter already threw it on the floor it and I cant turn the phone on now. When I'll have time, I will deconstruct it and see what happened.Read full review...
