Verizon Fios Remote Control 1072BA1-J-C-D Working

Exact replacement for Fios DCT700. Newer generic remotes may suit you better.

This is the remote provided with Verizon Fios set-top-box #DCT700. I bought it as an exact replacement knowing full well what I was getting from years of experience. Programming it to operate your TV requires a list of code numbers (from the internet), and a teenager with the patience to push the buttons. The best news is that you can read out the codes programmed into the "old" remote so you do not have to work hard if you have a less popular TV. Once completed, you will find about half of buttons do not do anything for this converter box and TV setup, and all are a bit small for average adult fingers.

It also is poor at rejecting dirt such as may be found in a kitchen. That is why this replacement is wrapped in plastic wrap. I suppose a sandwich bag might do as well.
