Buy it if you want control, or if you want to learn.

You can buy with the same price the new D3200 with twice the MPixels but if you want control and compatibility with more lenses it's better to buy this.

Perfect for outdoors, not ideal for indoors or low light if you are perfectionist. Indoors I need to use manual program sometimes.

I also like the editing capabilities. I don't use my computer for editing or for raw processing.

I like the cinematic video, but forget the sound. Is interrupted by the motion of focus ring or aperture ring.

Drawbacks.
1. No metering on manual AI-S lenses. But in that case, you probably shoot with M program anyway.
2. No autofocus in video. This is not a problem, but when I focus the sound is interrupted by the sound of the ring. Annoying.
3. You can't control the aperture with the aperture ring.

If you want something better go to full frame D700 (bigger FOV for starters) or to D7100 (same FOV but better sensor, video and more lenses).Read full review...

Viele Möglichkeiten in einem wertigen Gehäuse

Zuerst sollte man die Kamera ( die man kaufen will) schon einmal in der Hand gehabt haben, so erfährt man recht schnell ob eine Canon, Nikon oder andere Kamera die Hand schmeichelt. Bei mir war es halt Nikon. Warum nur 12,3 und nicht ein neueres Modell mit mehr Pixel? Mir war die Qualität der Pixel wichtig und ich wollte auch ein wertigeres Gehäuse. Nimmt man z.B. eine D3100 oder eine Sony Alpha in die Hand und dann die D90 fühlt man den Unterschied in der Materialanmutung. Die D90 bietet für den Fotografen viele Möglichkeiten für Einstellungen und Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten. Zudem sind die Raw Dateien in ihrer Größe für die meisten PC noch gut verträglich. Mit entsprechenden Objektiven sind auch sehr schöne Bilder zu erzielen. Wer meint nur die neueste Kamera macht gute Bilder der irrt einfach. I bought this D90 used and in excellent condition despite a small scratch on the LCD-screen which is located at the outermost edge and thus has no influence at all.
I upgraded from a D3000 and thus had some experience of Nikon DSLR:s.
The D90 is an excellent tool capable of producing the technically best photos there is! There is nothing I dislike about this camera so far :)
Compared to the D3000 this is a real upgrade but me being a Nikon-fan ever since my first Nikkormat Ft2 I cnnot tell how it compares to any other brand.Read full review...

Great for adwanced users.

I'm a adwanced amateur pfotographer, mostly using a camera on my traveling. I had D60 before, and must say that D90 is much better camera. Pictures are more sharp, and also the colours are graat. Comparing to D60 the D90 is easier to use, all the main settings are available with pressing just one botton. I'm using is with Tamron lenses 17-50VC and 70-300VC which both gave a great result. Gute Qualität, Schnelle lierferung , bin sehhr zufrieden

Sehr geehrte Damen / Herren
Ich habe vor kurzem die Nikon D90 mir zugelegt. ich bin Hobby Fotograf. Der Verkäufer hat sein Porjeckt sehr gut angepriesen.
Deshalb habe ich Ihn auch gleich Positiv bewertet. langsam komme ich hinter die Geheimnisse der Kamera. Ich bin schon Länger mit einer Digi- Kamera unterwegs. Habe diesbezüglich Unterricht genommen. Landschaft Aufnahmen sind kein Problem, mein Ziel ist, Sport Aufnahmen in Gebäuden Ohne Plitz in guter Qualität. Als Dan träger bin ich auch in andren Sportarten unterwegs.

Solide Kamera, die tolle Fotos macht, mehr Spiegelreflex braucht man nicht

Dies ist jetzt schon die 3. D90, die ich weiterempfohlen habe und seit 3 Jahren sind die Freunde immernoch begeistert, die wirkt sehr viel solider als die neuen Modelle, die Kamera-Bedienung ist intuitiv und sie macht selbst im Automatik-Modus wirklich gute Fotos mit sehr guten, für meinen Geschmack nicht überzeichneten Farben. Die Bildbearbeitung direkt in der Kamera ist einfach toll, ich brauche da kein extraprogramm, auch wenn ich es habe. Ich empfehle das Nikkor 16-85 oder 18-105 VRII, leider sind das die teureren Objektive aber auch eindeutig die sehr viel besseren.Read full review...
