Canon Ixus i Digital Camera
This a fantastic little digital camera; stunning quality pictures and all the features you could possibly want in a genuinely pocket sized camera. Smaller than even the dinkiest mobile phones; it's fully automatic; or manual exposure, aperture, ISO etc etc, I cannot praise this smashing camera enough; I have had mine for 5 years, and bought one for each of my kids as well. I have often considered upgrading, but nothing comes close to being considered a direct replacement; it really is unique. Canon broke the mould with this one. Only minus? No optical zoom. This is no big deal in this camera; it's not meant for serious photography, it's unsurpassed as a pocketable indispensable snapping machine that produces pisture better than most pretenders twice its size and megapixel count.Don't even hesitate, get one!!!Read full review...
A great little general-purpose camera.
An excellent little camera, easy to use and does a great job.
Upsides are it's relatively small, lightweight and powerful. Piece of cake to use. In-built speaker means you can review your movies with sound; a nice improvement over my previous Ixus V3.
Downside is there's no optical zoom. However, that's why it's so compact and you can't have everything!! At 5 megapixels the digital zoom works well, so you really don't need the optical zoom as much as you'd think (if at all).
Other downside is this camera will format all SD cards to 1 gig, even if the card is much bigger. However, it'll happily address all of a 2 gig card, as long as you don't re-format it in the camera... you have been warned!!
We've got thru a few digital cameras between our family, and this is the best yet (taking price into account). Not only is it now my main travel-cam; it's so good I bought one for my daughter!!Read full review...

I already have a D-SLR, but I find it a bit on the heavy side to take when I am hill-walking. I also find that as I am walking in daylight,and generally take panoramic shots,the options of carrying additional lenses and the elaborate metering of a D-SLR are superflous to requirements! The IXUS is a truly excellent piece of kit.It is lightweight,has an excellent focal range,and produces shots which are very often as good as I would get with much more elaborate equipment. Canon PowerShot IXUS I
What a fabulous little camera, it does exactly what it is designed to do and it does it with style and pizaz.The images, even at the lesser end of the pixel race, are very pleasing and and full of detail.
I have been shooting with a Nikon D200 for the last couple of years which is an awesome camera, but for shear portabilty, style, joy of use and simplicity,you will be happy to have this with you at all times.
It is the smallest camera i have ever owned by far and a little sexy number to boot.Not the fastest camera in use but one of the prettiest.
You won't be disapointed in owning one if you are not in a rush to photograph stuff.....sometimes it is good to slow the world down a little bit!!Read full review...

This is a super tiny camera that is easy to use and very transportable.
I have taken one around the world.
