Decent skins
This was the first time I have used collagen skins rather than natural ones. Filling the skins was no problem at all and I liked the fact that I could separate a section of the roll to fill rather than having to use the whole roll at once. The roll went easily onto my filling nozzle and there was no problem with splitting while they were being filled. I make my sausages (or boerewors) the South African way, in one long piece rather than in links. I did find that when cooking the sausages on the bbq it was difficult to turn the length of sausage without the skin splitting or breaking. This may not be an issue if you are making linked sausages. The skins were not chewy at all, they were perfectly edible. Well worth a try.Read full review...

Why is a title required?
I didn't feel that they were as nice to use as the last lot that I bought but cant say why exactly, but they seem different. DIY is never good value these days, I could certainly buy sausages cheaper than I can make them. Sad but true.Read full review...
