Fabulous

The camera is very easy to use with on screen information at your fingertips. Photo quality is very hi for such a camera, that looks very plastic, but preforms like a professional set up costing hundreds of pounds. I have used them all over the world with out any problems so far, even at -25 to + 90c it still gave good photos. The video part of the camera is also a good thing to have with a flick of the finger you are recording, you are only limited to the amount of space on the SD card you have. Over all if you want a good value for money camera / recorder. This is the one.Read full review...

Fun old camera

I had one of these 20 years ago and I couldn’t resist seeing what it is like now. Image quality is better than you would imagine and despite being an unconventional shape, the handling is really good. It is a lot of fun and I am happy to be reacquainted with the style of camera. A great choice if you are following the ‘old cameras are the new film’ trend.Read full review...

Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2 4.2 Megapixel Digital Camera

I bought this camera for my daughter. We bought the Z1 5 years ago and it is brilliant - so easy to use, brilliant zoom, easy to transfer to computer.
I bought my daughter this one as each time there is a school play, concert, birthday etc she borrows mine. She has a compact digital camera, but doesn't use it because it does't compare to the Minolta.
Highly recommended camera.

High quality images, powerful optical zoom, easy to use

Bought the Z2 to replace my old Z2 which wore out after 7 years of continuous use (mainly broken switches, still took good photos though). Picture quality is excellent from a brilliant camera - it's all about the lens and the Sensor!! 4.0 Megapixels is plenty and an efficient use of memory card space. Colour quality is excellent also, and since the camera takes AA batteries, it can enjoy another 7 years of good service. Finally, since the camera can switch between viewfinder to screen, taking photos in bright sunlight is no problems either. The camera is a bit heavy (due to the batteries), but this is a bonus since it reduces hand-shake when taking shots, especially on full zoom.Read full review...

Konica Minolta DiMage Z2

I wanted this camera after I saw the one my brother owns. It has not disappointed! It is an excellent camera, easy to use and the 10X zoom allows you to get just the right image. You can buy better i'm sure but value for money this takes some beating for me. If I have one criticism and this is probably true of all cameras of this type - it is designed for use by right handed people.Read full review...

Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2 Digital Camera

Looked around for another digicam for my wife, one that was user friendly.A friend had one of the above and let us try it-we liked the camera but didn`t want new so we looked on ebay and managed to get it at the price we wanted. It`s a nice camera to use and if you want to be clever with it you can!Not too heavy, fairly compact, good images, fast picture speeds etc.The only niggle I have (as with all Modern cameras) is that the instruction manual needs wading through and by the time it`s read you`ve forgotten half the info.Generally I`d rate the item 8/10.Read full review...

Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2 Digital Camera.

Bought this camera for its zoom and large lens glass area.

About the size of a compact camera with a good grip area and you can cradle it with your left hand. Also can use manual controls to suit the photographers style,or can be automatic or pictograph settings.

I would take some time to read the instructions, preferably when you are relaxed! You will find it easier to learn. Also you can try out the settings and delete any errors!

Flash has to be lifted for it to work.Flash button is easy to see and use as is the close up button. Both have several settings.
I would set the date as it tends to remind you all the time.

The close-up at 1cm is excellent with good quality results, as is the zoom.
Please be aware that you will need a tripod or a wall for support to avoid blurry at extreme zoom settings.Camera will warn you if there is a chance of camera shake so use flash.

All in all an excellent camera especially for close ups.

I wish you could see the photograph of my watch face close-up.
The zoom is useful too.

Remember that more megapixels does not mean better quality! You have to factor in the sensor [CCD] and the quality of the lens [and the photographer!].
This 4megapixel camera is good value and will enhance your photographs be you a novice or professional.

Recommended ****
Do not pay more than £40/45.00 on Ebay unless there are lots of extras.

Konica Minolta DiMage Z2

Beautiful camera but features overtaken by more recent designs. LCD screen too small and viewfider could be better. Too big to put in a pocket but then it does have a 10 times zoom. The camera came with a wide angle converter lens so that widest angle becomes 28mm instead of 35mm. A useful increase but it is not reccommended to keep the converter lens on over the full range of the zoom coverage. I haven't tested it out to see if there is a loss of quality to use it all the time. It would be a nuisance to have to keep on putting it on and taking it off particularly when taking shots of buildings. The w.a. adapter ring makes a good lens hood however.Read full review...
