Oil for GH Mazda 6 Sport 2.2 Diesel 2011
I've chosen to put this oil instead of Mazda's original recommended Dexelia oil after watching it performing in the real life. You can always find "outstanding" reviews written by someone who has a computer, but are they true? Maybe it's just something that he likes? Or it's he's sponsor? Or it just performs good within some sort of "RLCOTNOEHA" approved tests? (RLCOTNOEHA stands for Random Letter Compilation Organisation That No One Ever Hear About).
I actually saw this oil being tested in homemade friction and heat tests performing against other more than 50 oils. Results were very good. On the friction test it was one of the leaders outperforming Castrol, Motul, GM, Mazda, Honda, Lukoil, Ford, several Japanese oil brands, and others. In the heat test, where same oils were tested in very high temperature environments, Liqui Moly oil showed "normal" colour and viscosity change, but what's more important, it was one of few oils that didn't leave any burned marks or residues after some of the oil vapourised due to being taken to the temperatures above 240 degrees Celsius, on the surface of the tray in which it was heated.
So I SAW the results of these test and made a decision to try this oil.
Before this oil was poured in, I took the oil sump off to inspect the engine from the inside. Walls were clean, and all looked pretty well (40 000 miles on the clock). I will choose Liqui Moly for my next 40 000 miles and will inspect the engine again.
At the moment all I can say after changing from Mazda's Dexelia to Liqui Moly is that engine runs a bit smoother, shakes a bit less (Mazda makes engines with quite a lot of movement when on idle, but they are putting them on pretty big and soft engine mounts to eliminate this vibration to go in the chassis), and definitely runs quieter.Read full review
