Take a “brake”
A model of one of the pre 1948 brake vans that all the railway companies built for parcels, pigeons(!) fish and attached to various services. A number survived into the 1960s with liberal coatings of grime which means it can be difficult to tell what colour it really was.
This full brake model has the maroon livery well applied and has no interior visible through the small top light windows. The main detailing of the model is in the underframe which is superb though not normally visible when on the track! Metal wheels give smooth running and the height of the coupling is the same as other manufacturers coaches and locomotives. The product rating should really be 3.5 as it is more than ok but not amazing unless you consider the detail on the underframe which should bump the rating to a 4 Read full review
