Great replacement valve actuator

Identical to the one I replaced which worked great. Easy to replace push the button and lift old one off and put new one on. Wire for wire on the electrics ensuring switching off at mains first and confirming no live electricity. Always now a days take a quick photo or two on the phone for referral to later just in case of a mix up. Ensure everything is connected correctly and no loose wires and hey presto good as new. Used on what they call a Y system were there is just one valve to do hot water and heating. A symptom the valve is faulty is you get just hot water and no heating so the boiler is still working to heat the hot water Apparently a shore sign the most likely fault is the valve. Checked the valve operation was smooth by moving the spindle manually. So simple to just change the actuator without having to get into the water side.Read full review...

As three port valves go this one is above average.

So have had many years of experience with this product in my job as a heating engineer. On the whole I have found this valve to be very reliable. The body and the head can just be unclipped from each other . This valve can be used in place of other 5 wire 3port valves , usually it's a one for one swap , sometimes even the existing nuts will be the same thread form ,sometimes not ,wires usually the same colour as well .motor can be exchanged easily but this valve does seem to be very kind to motors , perhaps because the case is ventilated and they hardly ever fail .Read full review...

Simple to fit and a quality product.

Well made and simple to fit. Bought it as a replacement for the blue British Gas branded version. I only needed the electrical actuator as the brass valve was working fine but I now have that as a spare.
Good instructions. Simple to fit by turning off the mains supply and pairing up each of the five colour coded wires one by one. Took about 30 minutes and it worked straight away. Overall, very happy.

Top buy

Bought this to replace my old Drayton 3 port valve. Took less than 10 minutes to replace as it was a perfect fit.
Heating is now working much better and more efficient as valve is shutting heating and/or water off as needed so boiler runs a lot less saving gas.
Delivery was on time and all parts were included, c even instructions.
Can only recommend.

Works brilliantly

For 30 years I've lived with buzzing mid position valves, and this is the first valve thats been fitted in my house thats silent in operation. The valve is a straight swap for the conventional type of valves that Ive fitted in the past and the removable actuator is brilliant innovation.Read full review...

New 3 way valve.

Brought this to replace the old one that had failed. 10 minute job to fit it and the heating is running properly again.

An engineer's preferred design.

As a heating engineer of 30 years this valve is one of the better ones, I have found the brass valve very reliable and the motorised actuator snaps on making replacing a 15 minute job. There is one down side with these though, the plastic can become brittle over time and the spring posts can break, hooking the spring through a hole can fix this but for the sake of a minor material upgrade it is a disappointing quality issue and I would estimate 4/5 failures are due to this problem, it can be easily detected by removing the head and shaking it, if it clearly rattles, that is the problem. Ensuring there is plenty of ventilation is key.Read full review...

Easy to fit

Very easy to remove and replace using the spring loaded push release button. Even the wires are stripped at the ends to go into the terminals. Make certain that the diverter flap in the pipe body is free to move before using just this actuator. Read full review...

Great!!

Very good, will save me a lot of time as my old unit wasn't replaceable without removing the whole brass unit and draining the whole system.
