Like an Xbox One but faster

Really speedy load times in games, menus, everything. Nice 4K and HDR features that I can finally use, although my TV doesn't support 120FPS. If I didn't already have an Xbox this would be good value, however it's quite an expensive upgrade, but I knew what to expect, and I'm glad of the extra speed! Controller d-pad is VERY clicky though, prefer the old one!

As a refurb, the HDMI cable was not an official one, that's my only real gripe. Controller a tiny bit grimy but to be expected. Box has a couple of scuffs but nothing to worry about.Read full review...

Cant wait for more X/S tittles to experience the potential!

If i were to follow the rules then would want to score 4* but its worded better than expected. It is awesome but it isn't better than expected, i would rate it 95% of what expected. If i where to harshly criticize then i would point out that fast game resume isn't that good due to games not working after hibernation for reasons like "controller has been disconnected" and live games lost internet connection. In both scenarios you must kill the game and start it again. Loading times have been halved without clocking it. Good value with great features but struggles with some not optimised games

Its a great console. Load times are none existent on some games and the graphics are amazing. I would say its definetely worth the moeny but there are some games it just cant seem to run properly. One example of this is call of duty cold war. It loads up fine and you can get into a game but then it will just randomly crash for no apparent reason. Best Console Yet

The Xbox game pass ultimate is a must for this console, it gives access to so many classic and new Xbox games and apart from big titles won't require loads of expensive purchases!

The graphics are next gen with a solid refresh rate and well worth spending some cash on a great TV to go with it to get the most of the console capability!

New UI is far better than previous consoles and easy to use, extremely quick and intuitive.

The hardware itself is borderline mini PC size but this is fine as long as you give it space to breath. The new controllers I was especially impressed with, coming now with what feels like rubberised grip on the underside of the controller. The Xbox button is now sunken into the controller, sometimes have to press twice but certainly better than accidentally tapping it mid game and going to menu!

My son waited patiently to get this console as I wasn't quick enough at pre-order time. He is delighted with the graphics (has a 4K gaming monitor & all the other stuff I don't have a clue about) load speeds(?) & that it was really easy to transfer all his data from the other console. X block

Not the most asceticly pleasing design. Its just a black block. But as for the gubbings inside ....well it does just fine. Unusual set up , as in initially have to download an app on your mobile device to connect to the x box. But very straight forward. Once gold account details put in ,it recognised i had an xbox one ,and it gives you the option to transfer all settings and data straight to new xbox. The load time on games is dramatically reduced. Are the graphics better..??? Well slightly, I have a 4k TV lightning and shadows are slightly improved. But to be fair most of the titles I am playing have been enhanced for series x, but not actually a next gen title. So I will wait to reserve judgement. Controller is slightly smaller than xbox one. But they have added a textured surface on the grip area which is a nice touch. So I'm going to give it a solid 8 out of 10. Read full review...

Great upgrade to a great console line.

After my previous TV died (had been going strong for 10 years) I upgraded it to a modern 4K, HDR and Dolby Vision compatible TV, and extended my speakers on my AV receiver to a Dolby Atmos setup.
<br>As the Xbox Series X supports both if these dolby standards in gaming, I obtained one to replace my original Xbox One (Day One controller still going strong!).

It's a significant upgrade. Newer games designed for the xbox one had started to run on the first release console (minecraft dungeons is a good example) but on the Series X they're perfect, with a lot more enhanced effects running. At the moment at least, the games, menu screens, etc. are the same as the Xbox One, it's just a significant upgrade in performance. XBox Series X
