Out-dated technology that doesn't work well

Most Velleman products are really excellent and I'm sure that, in it's day, this one was too. The build quality is good and at the 'reminder' price that these things are selling for it is priced well.

Unfortunately, it is not compatible with the software provided by the manufacturer of the PIC chips that this board is designed to program, and the software from Velleman is not compatible with later Windows systems or with computers that do not have a serial port. So far, even with help from experienced PIC programmers, I have not been able to get this board to work.Read full review...
