Pioneer BDP-LX91 Blu-Ray Player

How to bring a Pioneer BDP LX-91 back to life.

I have a superb Pioneer reference Blu-ray player. Unfortunately it has a known issue. The original drive transports were known to fail. Mine still played CD's and DVD's, however it failed to recognise or play Blu-rays. The solution is to replace the drive transport unit. My player is now better than new. Replacing a 2008 unit, with one manufactured in September 2014. There is nothing like a BDP LX-91, plumbed into a Kuro series 9, 60" plasma screen and a SC LX-81 AV Amplifier. :-) I can highly recommend this drive transport, which I had professionally installed by a Pioneer qualified engineer.
