Yes you will want to tell it to be quiet!
I don't like the yes/know options they give you with these questions. I wasn't like a jet engine but the other fans i have in my case are Noctua NF-P14s fans and in the end I went off and bought another one of these. This fan is back in it's box waiting for an application.
There are two sets of mounts in the box - anti vibration mounts and screw mounts. It doesn't tell you the benefits of each. I used the anti-vibration mount and was disappointed.
So in the end I guess the price was good for a 1600rpm pwm fan but maybe a bit less gimicks and a bit more get on with it.
I have a BeQuiet CPU cooler and its very good so a little suprised by this.Read full review...
