Not the best version.

Disappointing offering from MLG.
This is one of those collections of the celebrated songs (written mainly by M&A Bergmann) but rendered unrecognisable by so much jazz-noodling with the arrangements.
He has done much better versions of these beautiful songs. I bought this CD assuming these would be the traditional arrangements, e.g., as in his well-known Themes and Variations album. Sadly not. Buyer beware. Read full review
