Drayton thermostatic radiator valves are well known for quality of product.
My old TRV3 heads, installed 1983 were starting not to function properly.

I contacted Drayton, explained the issue and they recommended replacing the "HEADS" with the latest TRV4s.
The great thing about these heads is you don't have to drain down your heating system. To replace, its a simple matter of you screw the old one off the valve body and screw the new TRV4 head on. Simple.

Drayton TRV3 to TRV4 conversion head

The head was delivered earlier than expected which was good news. Fitting was easy once you removed the old spacer (small pliers to just lift it off the old spindle). Fitting the new spacer to match the head was also easy and then fitting the head was the normal procedure. The TRV on the radiator is now working as it should. trvtc allows fitmrnt to trv3 radiator valves

These are quite rare and enable our ancient heating system to continue working without draining to change the whole valve. Useful when all my trv3 valve plastics are disintegrating with age.

Genuine Drayton TRV4 head.

Check the description, older heads have a different thread but if you are replacing a recent Drayton TRV4, then this is a perfect replacement.
