My laptop fan still spins up a bit more than it should, but it is a big improvement compared to when there was a thermal pad there. I can also see that in the future it will be much better to have this in my parts box than having to find the right size/thickness of thermal pads.Read full review...

Doesn't work that well.

I had put a thick blob of arctic silver on the GPU of my Dell E6410 because it's all I had at the time. While looking into replacement pads I read about this k5 stuff saying it's better than the pads. I got it today and cleaned off all of the arctic silver and replaced the chipset and GPU paste with the K5. After starting a few programs and checking my monitor I found the GPU running about 10 degrees Celsius higher than the arctic silver. So I had to remove the K5 and put the arctic silver back on. Unique thermal pad alternative
