Don't try this.

Well, I was missing my HTC One M8 after the battery went bad. Talked to several repair companies and they all stated that they don't work on HTC phones any longer. Due to the fact that HTC build quality has really bit the dust, to put it in a nice way, in the last several years and stuff doesn't work after HTC's are worked on. I bought this battery to try to replace it in my own. It's kind of a pain, but I got it done. Of course stuff didn't work like the repair companies told me. Phone started constantly vibrating, couldn't get it to power on etc. I don't understand why they don't have a replaceable battery, oh wait yes I do. They want you to have to buy another phone after a year or two. I really miss the build quality of HTC products. I used to love HTC, I guess they got greedy like the rest of the World and started building junk cheap and quick as possible.Read full review

So far, so good

Batteries are a tricky thing. Only time will tell if it's good or bad. This one is about three weeks old and so far, so good. Charge life was a bit disappointing in the beginning but got better with each cycle. Still not holding a charge as good as the original battery did but very close.

The tools are a nice plus but not very useful for the HTC One M8 due to the way it comes apart. All things considered given that my original battery was about to explode, I'm satisfied. Especially for the price.

As for installing it, that was a lot tougher than the YouTube videos make it look. Watch several different videos and keep links to them handy. You need them later. None of them show everything so be prepared for surprises like the tons of thermal tape they use to cover the ribbon cables. Take your time, be delicate and don't worry about messing up the tape. Salvage what you can but if some gets destroyed, don't freak out.Read full review

Awesome replacement battery and tools

I received this product right away, however I didn't get a chance to install the new battery until today. It was a lot easier than I thought, this was the first time repairing a cell phone and after watching some YouTube videos I had a good idea of what I needed to do. The battery was a perfect match and worked right away, I really appreciate that this came with the tools because they worked perfectly and I didn't have anything similar in my shop. when I booted up the phone the battery was at 50% charge which is not bad considering it's been laying around here for around a month.Read full review

This is not an easy install

The product came as expected and in good time. Don't get this if you don't have the patience for tedious work and a bit of a finesse with delicate objects. I cracked the screen of my phone installing this battery, because of how the phone is designed to be so hard to take apart.
The battery itself holds a good charge, but with the amount of apps that this phone is always running you really have to watch your battery.
It's a good product if you want to extend the life of your m8 though.Read full review
