I used two for my convertible car which resembled a sponge

I have yet to have a result with this product.
I have used two in a convertible car which isn't necessarily the right application.
But the car is full of moisture and after 5 days neither unit had absorbed any moisture.

I have since spoken to the manufacturer who will send me a "Car" product free of charge.
My understanding is that there needs to be heat & humidity for these particular units to work.

Will wait and see how the car product works - but these don't work in cars :-/Read full review...

Doesn’t work for me

I’m not sure why this has worked for other people but it hasn’t for me unfortunately. I set it up on our very damp conservatory a week ago. The windows are full of condensation, the room smells damp yet the moisture trap is dry as the desert. Not even a drop of water has made it in yet.

Over priced

Massively over priced. Equivalent product can be bought in local stores at a fraction of the cost including a spare refill. The crystals supplied with this product are in a plastic pouch. When this is opened the crystals spill when being loaded into the moisture trap. Once loaded they can still spill out of the trap. In far less expensive equivalent products the crystals are held neatly in a cloth pouch preventing them from spilling after the plastic packaging has been removed.Read full review...

does the job but messy could be better designed

when you add salt to the container it goes through the grills so either the grill should be differently designed or salt should be of bigger size granules. Otherwise it does the job.

Effective Product

I have been using these moisture traps for a few years. I position three of them on the carpet spaced around a bay window and they do collect a surprising amount of water during the colder months. I find that the older white-bodied version is better than the new blue-bodied, as the crystals tend to fall through the tray on the latter, so check with the supplier which type they can supply.
