It does the job it is intended for

The cutter does what it says, it efficiently cuts mortises for internal sash locks when used with a Souber mortising jig. Because it is virtually the same size as the collar, on the jig care needs to be taken that it does not slide back into the mortise collar when the drill is running which could cause damage.
