realy good tyres with pucture proof system inside them and good value for money

I purchased these tyres on the understanding that they were ‘puncture resistant’ due to having Kevlar incorporated into the inner surface. I also fitted two new Schwalbe inner tubes at the same time.Within 45 minutes on my first ride out I had the misfortune to get two thorn punctures in the rear tyre. Great all rounder
Have used this tyre for years as there great for road use on a mountain bike and off road they grip very well, all that’s needed for better off-road performance is a lower air pressure.. I’ve used lots of tyres over the years and apart from really wet conditions off road where a chunky grippy tyre is needed, i use these as my go to tyre, wether that’s for a cheap run about, or my £5000 full suspension bike.. and my last set lasted 9 years and inly one puncture, (a nail in a piece of wood on a trail).. 11 out of 10.. 😊😊😊Read full review...

Good all rounder
Looking for tyres for my wife's bike, thought these seemed ideal - fast on the road, but easonably suitable for off road (ie trail) use.
Being steel beaded/kevlar belted, they're never going to suit weight weenies, but they DO roll well, run at 60psi when needed, 20 when grip needed. I installed 'tubeless' on Mavic rims with no issues, even though not sold as so.
Wore out the first set, replaced with identical, hope they keep making them!

Good for mtb on road
Had these before. A lot quieter on road than other more knobbly tires. Very durable, had a few punctures but less than with the kenda tyres I had. Grip is great on road and trails, not fantastic in mud. These are the best ones I've had for mtb on road. if you ride mostly on road on a trusty workhorse bike they last for ages and seem well made. Terrible! No grip when wet and no real world puncture protection against glass or nails!
Grip is not that good as skidded off my bike a few times in the wet and wheels easily lock up on tarmac, even on the dry. Never happens even with cheap tyres that I completely lose all grip in the wet. Kept getting punctures as the k-guard is useless against both nails and glass that you find on the roads. Not sure what the Kevlar is meant to stop, possible kguard was meant to stop a block of Lego giving you a puncture, but nothing that is sharp. If you get a puncture, you can't walk the bike home as the tire keeps falling off the rim and allows the innertube to keep wrapping around the wheel and frame. Only way to get the bike home with a puncture on the back wheel is by dragging the bike behind you by the back wheel. Really put me off Schwalbe products!

Overall, AVOID! This product does not have any use if you use on tarmac. Glass and nails are no match for the k-guard! Lack of build quality makes this tyre easy to remove for puncture repairs, but useless if you get a puncture without a repair kit or in the rain where you cant conduct a repair as the tyre falls off the rim constantly. This means puncture repairs are impossible and walking your bike is impossible also as it 1 nail could put 30+ holes in your innertube before it all wraps around your frame. I would have thrown in the trash but my bike was stolen before I replaced them, never was I so relieved to have a bike stolen from me! My replacement bike gets a puncture once every 1-2 months, vs 2-4 every month with the k-guard. My replacement bike has no puncture resistant tyres and can be ridden slowly with flat tyres, with solid walls and steel rims it holds well......
