Charming, ugly and suitable for most layouts. High Quality model.

A very useful general purpose loco. Was to be seen widely on British Railways and some lasted to almost the end of steam.

The model is a very good copy of the prototype with a good deal of complicated pipework and minor details accurately reproduced. Part of its charm is its ugliness, with little in the way of superfluous embellishment for aesthetics sake. It attracted a few nicknames.

The model should be attractive to railway modellers as the prototype was very versatile, used on every
type of job apart from very heavy freight and express passenger. Its relatively light weight meant it could be found on many branch lines. What's not to like?Read full review...
