Excellent stair gate
I was specially looking for a stair gate for occasional use when my grandchildren visiting and also one that can be removed easily when not required. This stair gate is perfect for the intended purposes and the width is adjustable.

Using safety gate
It’s strong and does a good job. However the fixed end doesn’t lift easily which means I can’t open it with one hand. In fact I need two hands and strength to open and closing it . Not as easy or practical as my last gate. I would love someone to give me a way of easing the lift up of the fixed end.Read full review...

Safety First
This is an excellent stair gate. The metal gate is strong, and adjustable. The wall fasteners are good. These are very secure.
We got this one to use at the top of the stairs to keep our grand-daughter safe when she is with us. I didn't want a gate with compression fittings - because I don't trust. That is why I chose this gate - you have to drill holes to fit the hinges and the fasteners.
When our wilful grand-daughter wants to go down stairs, she stands at the gate pulling it and pushing it with some energy. And it is perfectly safe.
I see those other gates with no holes drilled, and held in place with pressure from the frame. I don't want to rely on that. I am sure they will loosen with time. Whereas this gate is in place forever. And that is good because we are expecting a second grand-child soon.
