Cheap alternative to Light Bars

PROS - cheap; quieter than older revolving lights of it's kind; bigger than I thought it would be; seems quite bright (it's midsummer here so need to be out nearer midnight and neighbours already think I'm weird so not tested in the dark yet); Uses standard automotive sidelight bulb so easy/cheap to replace if it blows
CONS - lead could be MUCH longer (wire is cheap - double the length at least for minimal added cost); the magnet in the base is not secured or enclosed and comes off/out when you take the light off vehicle roof. I have secured the magnet to the base with epoxy glue and covered the base with 2mm rubber sheet cut to match base shape to waterproof and ensure no scratching of metal.

Much more effective than hazard warning lights on a motorway

Having had occasion ro use this device after a rear tyre blow out on a motorway, I felt that my car was much more visible than with merely the hazard lights flashing. Being on the roof of the car it is visible at a much greater range than hazard lights. Recommended.Read full review...
