Awesome results! Blue LEDs looks stellar next to my other gear!
This is definitely a more advanced upgrade for the SL1200MK2 for those new-to-soldering. I would highly recommend practicing both desoldering and soldering parts on a junk circuit board before diving into the turntable. Take out the learning and burning on trash, then when comfortable do the turntable. It's not brain surgery, but practice is really a good idea for newbies.
For experienced solderers, especially with re-work experience removing parts, will find this to be a fun, and easy enough project.
The lights are a little brighter than I expected, but i don't mind. They look awesome! I think the whole project took me around 2.5-3hours, taking my time.
The instructions are pretty good overall. Mentions to flip or turn a circuit board around are inconsistent, and seem to be assumed towards the end. No matter. I was able to figure it out, and there are plenty of good pictures to follow. Great Kit, and nicely priced!Read full review...
