Bough5 for the shed/workshop. Previous DAB radios with poor reception nearly made me give up on DAB ever being good enough. This one has great reception, very reasonable sound quality, and at a great price. On/Off would be easier if a separate Standby button...especially 8n the workshop wearing gloves, but it’s a matter of getting used to the push & hold.Read full review...

Does the job

Wanted a small DAB radio and the Elan 1's spec fitted the bill. Appearance is good and set-up was easy with the DAB stations I wanted registered. On DAB I found a strong signal - the aerial was not needed. Sound quality is adequate to good - there may be better out there. It is not sensitive to position. Running on AA batteries at the moment and too early to tell how they last. No power supply is supplied, just a USB/mini-USB cable. I'm a bit nervous about running from a cellphone charger after reading another review here and will investigate further.Read full review...

Quality Product with Exceptional Sound.

The sound quality for this set is exceptional. Once originally set-up I was amazed by the sound quality from such a compact unit. Most radios of this size lack any Bass sounding rather scratchy & tinny. Not with this, the sound quality is nearly as good as my other stereo radio costing twice as much.

Better instructions required

When I first received the radio the instructions were vague because they have tried to the same information in so many languages. When I first started up the radio the screen stated DAB was not available it took several goes to get it working again because the instructions did not advise if this happend also still having trouble setting more than 2 stations. Really good compact little radio well thought out nice and simple but with bluetooth and headphones jack it makes it versatile too so well worth £45. Excellent. A good buy

Excellent DAB+ Radio. Reception is very good, stays locked on to broadcast signal, sound is good quality, good volume for small radio, good alarm clock. Bought it to replace my Sony FM radio which does not stay locked on to signal and needs constant retuning. Easy to set up, although it does have a standby mode which is a pretty bonkers idea for a radio. You need to hold the off switch down for 3 seconds to get it to turn off properly.
