It Turns out the old card was working as I had by accident turned off the wireless connection when trying to open the optical drive. However it was still a benefit installing this card as the old card would only receive up to 90 Mbps. Works fine

Works perfectly in an older laptop.
Note for those who are missing a WiFi antenna (it happens) they are colour coded so you just plug into the outer two sockets.
I've actually installed an extra cable but it doesn't make much difference as most cards these days route signals to whatever the active antenna is.Read full review...
